Dear AcademyHealth Student Chapter Members,

Welcome to a new school year! We’re excited to kick off another year of learning, networking, and community-building with the AcademyHealth Student Chapter. Our chapter provides opportunities to engage with health services research and policy, connect with peers and faculty, and participate in professional development events throughout the year.

As we make our way through Term 1, we’re holding elections for new Executive Board members. Serving on the board is a great way to get involved in leadership, help shape the chapter’s activities, and build connections across the Hopkins community. Open positions include:

  • President – leads the chapter and represents us within and beyond the university

  • Vice President – supports the President and board members, stepping in as needed

  • Finance Chair – manages the chapter’s budget and financial records

  • Communications Chair – promotes events and coordinates outreach across campus

  • Social Chair – plans events, including seminars and networking opportunities

📅 Election timeline and details:

  • Nominations open on Wednesday 17th September at 12:00(pm)
  • Nominations close on Monday 22nd September at 12:00(pm)
  • Nomination acceptances due on Wednesday 24th September at 12:00(pm)
  • Voting opens on Thursday 25th September at 17:00 (5:00pm)
  • Voting closes on Tuesday 30th September at 17:00 (5:00pm)
  • Announcement by Thursday 2nd October at 19:00(7:00pm) 
  • Additional events to keep in mind if elected:
  • Student Assembly Training Workshop tentatively 4th October time TBA
  • Student Assembly Inauguration Ceremony and Reception 22nd October at 17:45 (5:45pm)
