Welcome to BME EDGE (Extramural Development in Graduate Education), a student-led organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of biomedical engineers. At BME EDGE, our goal is to guide BME doctoral students as they navigate their career paths, whether in academia, government agencies, or private industry. Our mission extends beyond the conventional educational framework, aiming to bridge the gap between academic excellence and professional success. We welcome participation from all interested JHSOM students, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other identity.

Membership Benefits
Facilitating Internships: We recognize the invaluable experience that internships provide in understanding real-world applications of biomedical engineering. BME EDGE is committed to connecting our Ph.D. students with leading organizations in professional sectors.
