Although many of us cannot be at the Perch in-person, we can still admire it from our homes as community members and some of our officers tend to this season's crops.
Last week, two of our officers, Chloe and Sophia, were able to visit the Perch and catch a glimpse of what has been growing over the beautiful Baltimore summer. While they were there, they helped with the harvest, uprooting carrot and picking eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, okra, squash, and leafy greens. We think it's safe to say that the garden has been thriving thanks to our community members' help over the summer.
As the semester goes on, we'll be sure to check in on the garden to see what fruits and veggies they may plant for the fall. Meanwhile, we're looking forward to adding new faces to the Perch! If you attend the Student Involvement Fair, make sure to stop by our booth, we'd love to meet you. And even though we won't be in the garden, we do have plans to keep this semester interesting and hopefully provide that escape from the classroom that many of us enjoy at the Perch.
