Details

The Latinx/e History Month Celebration is an opportunity to highlight the contributions of Latinx/e people through storytelling, engaging history, dialoguing, and showcasing customs and traditions. This event is an offering by the Center for Diversity and Inclusion to support students, faculty, staff and JHU affiliates. This year, we continue the tradition of acknowledgment, education, and partnerships across the Johns Hopkins and Baltimore community. The theme for all of our heritage celebrations stem from our Student Affairs approach to belonging and community. We highlight the cultural exploration and this year we will feature various leaders and educators within the local space contributing to the upliftment of that cultural diaspora and the total Hopkins community. We welcome our keynote speaker and alum April Lugo who serves as talent acquisition manager at McCormick & Company. We will also have tabling and great food at our event for all. Come learn and educate yourself about CDI and cultural exploration or our resources and student organizations.
