Hello Everyone,
Welcome back! We have so much exicting news to share with you about the DMC and this coming semester.

1. The DMC Opens In Person FEB 1 - By Appointment ONLY



Our physical location in the Mattin Center will be open starting Februrary 1st BY APPOINTMENT ONLY in order to comply with capacity restrictions. This means that all of our circulating equipment, lab computers/printers, and gaming computers (with the exception of the VR station) can be reserved via BookIt. Your reservation acts as your appointment. Please plan on making reservations 24 hours in advance. In order to use any of our resources ALL PATRONS MUST complete our COVID Agreement form linked here. In-person hours will be confirmed on social media, website, and BookIt by Feb 1st. 

Not a DMC member yet, or have just checked out a software license from us last semester? Attend a quick New Patron Orientation session, offered over Zoom (see number 5 below for dates and links to register). You'll watch a short video, sign a member agreement, and then you're ready to use all of our resources!

2. Virtual Hours - TBD


ÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïAlongside our in-person hours, the DMC will continue to have virtual hours. These hours will be
announced on our social media, website, and BookIt by January 25th. 

3. Lighting of the Quads Goes Virtual!

View the DMC's handywork in the Virtual Lighting of the Quads Virtual Event on Saturday January 30th at 7pm. The event will stream on HopkinsGroups at jhu.campusgroups.com

4. DMC's Virtual Orientation Game Night - TONIGHT 8:30-9:30PM EST

5. New DMC Patron Orientations


Want to become a DMC patron? In order to become a new patron at the DMC we have a whole new virtual process. Sign up for one of our virtual New Patron Orientation:

6. COVID Agreement 

IMPORTANT: Each DMC patron (new or returning) MUST sign the new COVID Agreement form in order to use the DMC and its resources this semester. Download the DMC's COVID Agreement HERE. Once completed email the form to digitalmedia@jhu.edu or drop it off drop box at the DMC’s entrance. This form will also be distributed to new members during the New Member Orientation.

7. DMC Virtual Resources

Need help finishing up your final digital media projects this semester? Get help from the DMC!

8. Student Opportunities


The CER is looking for a student worker who could do basic video editing and posting them on Panopto. The position can be remote or the student can work in the CER. The time required for each class will be about 3-4 hours/week at most and the student could work for one or more courses at a time depending on availability. The pay is $12/hour.
