This Friday we will be having another GBM, our final GBM before the much-awaited Young America's Foundation (YAF) William F Buckley Series Lecture event featuring Dr. Arthur B Laffer!
Best known for the Laffer Curve, a staple in economics textbooks, Dr. Laffer rose to national prominence as a member of President Reagan’s Economic Policy Advisory Board (1981–1989). He will speak on free markets, tax, trade, and economic policy under the Trump administration, drawing on decades of experience influencing U.S. fiscal policy. The event will feature introductory remarks by Dr. Steve Hanke, Professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins, longtime friend of Dr. Laffer, and of course, our club advisor. It will conclude with a 30-minute audience Q&A. We encourage attendees to come with thoughtful, prepared questions.
🗓 Date: April 1st
🕡 Time: 6:45 PM – 8:30 PM
📍 Location: Glass Pavilion, Levering Hall
🍕 Pizza will be served.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED ON CAMPUS GROUPS: https://cglink.me/2dh/r1964345
We will need many volunteers for this event, including setting up tables, holding mics, setting up food, and registration check-in. Please reply to this email if you are interested; we strongly encourage interested volunteers to attend this Friday's GBM.
Please invite your friends, professors, colleagues, default liberals, closeted conservatives, and everyone else. This event will mark the last of our speakerships for this year, and we plan for it to be our largest.
