Mission
The News-Letter has served as the primary not-for-profit, independent undergraduate student newspaper at Hopkins since 1896. The News-Letter is dedicated to publishing an exemplary student newspaper according to the strictest standards of journalistic integrity, for the purpose of informing the undergraduate students of Hopkins and for gaining knowledge and experience in the field of journalism.

Membership Benefits
The News-Letter has been reporting on Hopkins life for over 125 years, and we are always looking for new students to join the team. The newspaper is entirely student-run, and any undergraduate can join without prior experience! We'll teach you everything.

The News-Letter consists of writers, photographers, copy editors, illustrators, cartoonists, business staff, layout staff and technology staff, with editors running each section. After one semester of working and learning, you will be eligible to become a full staff member. If you're interested in joining or would like more information, email managing@jhunewsletter.com.

Working on The News-Letter is a great opportunity to gain professional experience, meet new people and learn about the importance of journalism.

Mission
The HOP is dedicated to bringing fun, social campus events to the entire JHU Homewood community- programming by students, for students. The HOP is made up of about 18 board members and over 80 general members; all undergraduate students with varied majors, backgrounds, and interests. With such diversity, we aim to bring events to campus that will appeal to the majority of Hopkins students. We do event programming by students, for students.

As a member of the HOP, you will be able to collaborate with amazing and passionate teammates to make your event dreams a reality, and bring joy to students on campus. You will develop teamwork and networking skills, marketing and graphic design skills, and financial accounting and budgeting skills.

The Johns Hopkins Student Government Association (SGA) is the primary representative body for Hopkins Undergraduates.

The mission of the SGA is to "strengthen student unity, represent student interests, and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas." We want to represent "you," the student body, to the administration, and ensure that the voices of students are being heard.
