Inter-Asian Cultural Expo

Inter Asian Cultural Expo (IACE) is an annual student-led cultural event for JHU, Peabody, MICA associates and the Baltimore community to showcase visual artworks, music and dance performances, and collaborative art projects with Asian cultural backgrounds or influence and inspiration from Asian culture. IACE creates opportunities to share genreless and diverse culture and art from the Asian community through various collaborations between students from different institutions.

April 1st
Performance groups and artists
- 1pm: Hopkins Oriental Music Ensemble
- 1:30pm: Peabody Composer Heather Hyoeun Ahn and Peabody Dance Department Collaborative Performance
- 2pm: Peabody Pianist Ramilya Saubanova showcasing the music from Republic of Tatarstan
- 2:30pm: Dance Performance by Yong Han Lion Dance Troupe
- 3:pm: Dance Performance by Filipino Student Association
- 3:30pm: Alexis Li will be playing a solo on the Guzheng


4pm: Film Screening with the Peabody Film Ensemble

April 2nd

- 3:pm: Guest Speaker Presentations- Dany Chan and Ani Proser (Curators of Asian Art from the Walters Art Museum)

4pm: IACE Orchestra and Choir Concert

- The Golden Age Flute Concerto (soloist: Lily Xie) by Chi-Yi Lee
- Oum Thadda by Reya Wahab
- Taste of India: A Bollywood Medley by Ashna Pathan
