Welcome to Jayla Hill

Jayla Hill has been selected as the Assistant Director for Student Organizations in the Student Leadership and Involvement Office. Jayla will work to create and maintain programs and services for Registered Student Organizations (RSO) as well as serve as the primary manager of the campus engagement platform Hopkins Groups. Jayla earned her Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University in Psychology and her Masters of Science in Higher Education, Student Affairs from Northern Illinois University. She is passionate about student leadership development, identity development, and helping students become better versions of themselves and is looking forward to working with Johns Hopkins students, faculty, and staff.

Payment Request/Reimbursment Reminders


As a reminder, please submit all necessary documentation for vendor payments and reimbursements by this Friday, May 14, 2021. Feel free to reference this previous communication to get additional details for financial transactions.

SLI will not be accepting payment requests for new purchases. The deadline to submit new purchase requests has passed. We will be accepting payment requests for vendor payments for services already rendered or reimbursements for services already paid for by a RSO member.

  • Deadline to submit all your final receipts for reimbursement: May 14th.
  • Deadline to submit Vendor Payments, Account Transfers, Deposits, etc.: May 14th.

Student Leadership and Involvement will not process any reimbursements beyond this deadline and the payment request option will no longer be available after May 14th. Please make sure your summer mailing address is up to date in SIS or checks for reimbursement may be sent to the wrong address.

2021 - 2022 Budget Request

Budget requests will be released in August 2021.  

Fall 2021 Event Submissions

As a reminder we are still accepting event submissions for the fall 2021 semester.  That window will close on May 14th and RSO's will not be able to submit after that date until mid-summer.  Please reference this previous communication for additional details. 

Please note the following: 

  • Remain flexible as the University is still adjusting its operations due to the pandemic. 
  • RSO events will be prioritized over weekly meetings.
  • Space for the upcoming fall may still be limited based on academic needs and the demolition of the Mattin Center.
  • Density numbers will change. SLI consultants will assist RSO leaders in adjusting their events as necessary. 
We will send updates as we learn additional information and decisions are made about the fall.

RSO Re-Registration/Officer Update

RSO re-registration will occur from August 1, 2021 - September 30, 2021. In an effort to ensure the smoothest process possible, please make sure to update your officers in the system.  This is especially important for the new president/treaurer. For graduating officers, they will lose access to Hopkins Groups after graduation. 

To the class of 2021 congratulation on your graduation!  We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments!
