Johns Hopkins University Presidential Management Fellowship

The Johns Hopkins University Presidential Management Fellowship is a highly-selective year-long fellowship for recent and soon-to-be Johns Hopkins graduates interested in learning about the management of a large, complex and dynamic institution and who desire to grow professionally and personally. Fellows will have a front-row seat to learn about decision making at one of the largest employers in the state (and a top ten-ranked U.S. university) and will gain indispensable experience in the management and governance of a worldwide leader in research and education.

A cohort of select recent graduates from among the Johns Hopkins schools will be embedded within University Administration departments and will operate as internal consultants/advisors whose work informs decision-making by senior leadership on a wide range of financial strategy, management strategy, policy and/or other high priority projects. Fellows will provide analytic capacity and project leadership, engage with key stakeholders, and develop and present materials to communicate key findings and recommendations to university leadership. Fellows will also participate in a customized professional development curriculum and attend small group discussion sessions with top university leaders.

Departments hosting Fellows this year are PHutures/Integrative Learning and Life Design, Investment Office, Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures (JHTV), Office of the Provost, Academic Affairs, Office of Planning and Budget, University Tax Office within the Controller's Office, Office of Institutional Research, Office of Economic Development, University Communications and Office of Federal Strategy.

Apply for the Presidential Management Fellowship by November 30th! Additional information and position details can be found, and applications can be submitted at https://bit.ly/3qKMd4k.

Community Impact Internships Program

The Community Impact Internships Program (CIIP) applications are available and due January 3, 2022.

Join other Hopkins students this summer working alongside Baltimore City-based community partners to make a difference! CIIP is a competitive, paid summer internship program that pairs JHU undergraduate students with nonprofits, community organizations and government agencies, and offers an intensive, cohort-based learning environment. CIIP selects 50 JHU students to work on community-identified projects throughout Baltimore City. Internships are selected for each student based on their skills and interests, providing a unique and individualized experience. In addition to interning with a community partner, the program includes an extensive orientation and weekly reflection sessions.

Interns will work 35 hours a week for 8 weeks and earn a $4725 salary. The dates for this year’s program are June 6  – August 5, 2022. CIIP is available to current JHU First Year Students through Juniors.

Information about the 2022 Community Impact Internships Program (CIIP) and a link to apply are available at http://studentaffairs.jhu.edu/socialconcern/programs/ciip/interns/

The deadline for application submissions is January 3, 2022.

The goal of this program is two-fold: to give JHU undergraduates an opportunity to be directly involved in community-based efforts in Baltimore City, and to support the important work being done by nonprofits and government agencies.  CIIP is housed within the Center for Social Concern under Homewood Student Affairs at the Johns Hopkins University.

For more information about the Community Impact Internships Program, contact Eli Lopatin, Assistant Director of Civic Leadership, at elilopatin@jhu.edu.
