About Us

The LGBTQ Health Curriculum Initiative (LHI) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for LGBTQ students. LHI elevates LGBTQ voices within the student body by providing meaningful feedback to faculty and administrators to ensure accurate and comprehensive LGBTQ representation in the curriculum. The organization supports advocacy, peer connection, and professional development while also promoting education and awareness through events that spotlight LGBTQ health issues and lived experiences. Through collaboration and engagement, LHI works to advance cultural humility and health equity in nursing education and practice.
