Mission The Doctors Without Borders Student Chapter at JHU is dedicated to providing service to the community through opportunities for advocacy, event creation, fundraising, volunteering, engineering, and technology projects for our members. We strive to forge ongoing partnerships with clubs on campus and organizations in Baltimore and beyond to serve others and create a better future. Our parent organization, Doctors without Borders (also known by their French name Medecins Sans Frontieres), was founded in France in 1971, and is a humanitarian organization operating on the belief that all people should have access to basic medicine and healthcare. MSF provides healthcare in response to disasters both natural and human-made. They leverage the power of everything from computer science to basic sanitation engineering to help combat health epidemics.
