Welcome to OCCM!

Welcome, all our new members, to the new Oriental Orthodox Campus Ministry here at Hopkins! OCCM connects college students in faith, practice, community, and values with the ancient faith of the Orthodox Christian Church throughout their collegiate journey. We achieve this through community life, prayer, service to others, and the study of the Faith.

We aim to send out these newsletters every month to keep everyone updated on the happenings of the club. From service events at SBSS (our main church) to a Super Bowl party and a Valentine's Day event, this month is packed full of fun events!

  • GBM: Biweekly on Thursdays at 7:30 PM. Location: TBD (Join our text group for updates!)

Service Event

SBSS is hosting a service event to help immigrats fill out immigration papers. There is no experience needed. Starts at 5:30 PM, ends at 8:30 PM.

Meet The Saints

Come join us at church for a spirtual talk to learn about the saints. The saints are those who followed the Chist and struggled against the bodily pleasures. They are not residing in Heaven with the Lord. They pray for us, and we venerate them as they are our holy and dear friends.

Superbowl Party

Come join us to watch the superbowl at Abouna David's house at 6 PM next Sunday! There will be tons of food, and a wings eating contest!

Valentine's Day Event

We are hoping to do a small Valentine's Day event. Please reach out to Luccia Yacoub (626-677-7332) if interested in participating!
