Share your Hopkins student journey!

JHU is working with global design and innovation firm IDEO to understand and map the undergraduate Hopkins student journey and help explore opportunities for improving student success in all areas of campus life.

Join us for various in-person or virtual research sessions to share your perspectives and improve the JHU experience for students!

+ Who: JHU Undergraduate Students (Peabody & Homewood)

+ What: Participation in one or more research activities:

• Virtual, 60-min 1:1 Interviews
• Collaborative Group Workshops, 90 min
• Multimedia Diary Mission, completed asynchronously (on your own time) over a week

+ Where: In-person on the Peabody campus, or remotely via Zoom

+ When: Virtual during 3/20-4/8 and/or In-person during 4/8-4/12

+ Compensation: Ranging from $100-$400

Your responses will help us learn more about you and your experience. We will reach out to an intersection of people who reflect different experiences. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
 

Your survey responses are confidential to the research team and are not used as data or develop insights, only as applications to participate in this co-design research. There is no compensation for filling out this survey. Completing the survey does not guarantee you will be selected to participate.

Archives research grants

Are you interested in exploring archives and discovering Peabody or Hopkins history? Hugh Hawkins Fellowships support research in the Peabody Archives of the Friedheim Library and award stipends of up to $3,500! JHU National Fellowships Program

Interested in earning a graduate degree in the U.K.? Please join the JHU National Fellowships Program for an online info session about the Churchill, Gates Cambridge, Marshall, and Rhodes Scholarships, which fund 1-3 years of study. All but the Churchill (STEM-only) are open to applicants in any academic field and all are open to rising and current seniors and recent graduates; grad students may be eligible, too. Come learn about these unique opportunities and hear from recent finalists and winners!

JHU National Fellowships Program

Join the JHU National Fellowships Program for one of our upcoming Zoom info sessions to learn about the Fulbright U.S. Student Program and how to pick a grant type and host country (there are three basic grant types and more than 130 countries to choose from). The sessions will also cover how NFP supports students and recent graduates applying through Hopkins, which has been a top producer of Fulbright U.S. Student Program grantees for 14 years running.

Peak Artist Series: Tae Hwang 

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) and The Top of the World Observation Level at The World Trade Center - Baltimore, present their Peak Artist Series with Artist Tae Hwang, Senior Lecturer and Program Coordinator at the Center for Visual Arts at Johns Hopkins University.

The 2024 Philadelphia Sketch Club 1st Undergraduate & Graduate Student Art Show 

This is a juried show open to all Undergraduate and Graduate student artists currently enrolled in a university or college program. 

Works Eligible: Submitted pieces can be 2D or 3D in any medium, with any subject matter (appropriate to exhibit). All works must be offered for sale during the exhibition. Jurors will choose a maximum of 2 works submitted by any one artist for display at the exhibition. Apply on EntryThingy by April 3^rd, 2024.

2nd Annual Queer Conscience Group Photography Exhibition 

The Image Flow invites photographic artists closely tied to the LGBTQIA2+ community to submit work to our 2nd Annual juried photography exhibition Queer Conscience 2024. It is a precarious time to be a queer person today, as many forces conspire to limit the ways in which we live and express our very identities. Despite the seemingly relentless waves of legislation targeting queer and especially transgender individuals in the U.S. and beyond, the world seems to be growing ever more queer.  

New studies show that nearly 30% of Gen Z adults identify as LGBTQIA2+. Queer Conscience seeks to push back against these forces and affirm our own truths through the photographic medium. In this juried exhibition set to coincide with Pride month, we ask queer artists to share their truest journeys with us and join us in celebrating our community with a clear conscience. Apply on ArtCall by April 5^th, 2024.

And this time, we are introducing a theme... Alice in Wonderland!! Get prepared for the best spring fair on April 26, 2024, at the Plaza. Enjoy carnival games, band performances, free food, and giveaways.
