Seniors- Please take the Senior Survey!
 
The Senior Survey is one of the most important surveys conducted during your time at Peabody. With strong participation, we are able to share meaningful results with faculty, staff, and the senior leadership of the university and your responses are critical input in helping us continue to improve the overall quality of the Peabody experience for future students.
 
As a way to thank you for your time (20 to 25 minutes, typically), EVERY student who completes and submits the survey will receive a $5 e-gift card from your choice of Amazon or Starbucks.

Completing this is voluntary and the information you provide will remain strictly confidential. Your responses, except for narrative comments, will be aggregated with those of other seniors for statistical analyses. These data will be used for research and administrative purposes only.

Hon's Honey Speaker

Reminder! Hon's Honey will be coming to East Baltimore this coming Monday for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Hon's Honey works with survivors of gender-based violence in Baltimore and is coming to talk about their work. Attendees will each get a jar of honey and will be entered into a honey gift basket raffle.

LAUNCHPad Liftoff: Coaching, Cookies & Coffee

Are you interested in LAUNCHPad's 24-25 opportunities? Not sure where to start? Need help putting together an application? Stop by LAUNCHPad to ask questions, chat with staff, and workshop your materials. These are drop-in events - come by anytime, no preparation needed! We will have cold brew coffee and a variety of cookies (including vegan and gluten-free options).

The 24-25 student jobs and programs offer paid and mentored opportunities to build new skills, gain professional experience on- and off-campus, grow your professional networks, and take your artistic work into the community. LAUNCHPad 2024-2025 Opportunities!

Applications are now open for LAUNCHPad's experiential learning programs in performance, teaching, and administration for the 24-25 academic year! These are paid and mentored opportunities to build new skills, gain professional experience on- and off-campus, grow your professional networks, and take your artistic work into the community. Open programs include:

• Peabody at the Library - community performance opportunities at local Enoch Pratt Library branches
• Peabody at the Shelter - community performance opportunities at Helping up Mission
• Peabody at the Walters - performance opportunities for Sketching Sessions in art museum spaces
• Penn Station Rush Hour Series - performance opportunities during Friday rush hour at Penn Station
• Peabody Internship Pathways - in-person, remote, and hybrid internships in arts administration and education. 22 positions available in partnership with local arts organizations, including the BSO, BSA, Opera Baltimore, Lorelai Ensemble, and more! Search "PIP" in SMILE. *Federal Work Study (FWS) preferred; limited spots for non-FWS students.
• Interplay - a mentored, higher education teaching project for Peabody graduate students in collaboration with UMBC
• Breakthrough Curriculum Teaching Assistants - position numbers 13827 (undergrads) and 13029 (grads) in SMILE; apply by May 1 for best consideration. *Federal Work Study (FWS) preferred; limited spots for non-FWS students.

Classical Music in the Age of Pop

What is classical music’s position in the world today? Its audience has grown older and smaller, and its relevance to current culture has faded. Why did this happen? And — when, for most people, other music provides both art and entertainment — what could be done to bring classical music back? Register for Classical Music in the Age of Pop (PY.123.625) to fulfill your graduate elective requirements. Course meets Wednesdays 1:30-3:30pm. Questions?
