About Us

The primary purpose of Smash@JHU is to host events and build community around Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. video game franchise. Smash is a multiplayer fighting game series, unique in both its gameplay as well as its community which has maintained an active following with a strong competitive aspect for the many years since the first game was released. From small college scenes to the international scale, the Smash community is dedicated to fostering a healthy competitive gaming environment, and welcomes players without regard to race, age, sex, sexuality, disability, or experience. Our group intends to help develop such a community by giving students a chance to come together to play Smash, whether for fun or for competition.
