About Us

Smart Woman Securities is an organization whose mission is to educate undergraduate women on finance and investing, and our chapter is Hopkins' only all-womens' investment team. We are dedicated to building community, equipping our members with the core financial skills, and providing interactive experiences that allow our members to engage with successful professionals in the industry. We believe that SWS can help to empower a new generation of women with greater investment knowledge and financial influence. Through a 10-week seminar series in the fall, new members (Associates) learn the fundamentals of investing. Associates have the opportunity to present a stock pitch at the end of the semester and graduate to the Investment Team as Research Analysts. We also host a variety of events throughout the semester open to the entire JHU community, including our Spring Investors Symposium, bringing in prominent females in Finance to speak about their experience in the field.
