About Us
The American Muslim Medical Student Association (AMMSA) - Johns Hopkins Chapter is a student organization dedicated to fostering community, connection, and understanding among medical students interested in exploring the intersections of faith, culture, and medicine. Our mission is to create a welcoming and safe space for students while promoting learning and dialogue about Islamic values and their relevance to patient care and professional development.
We aim to build bridges across communities by hosting social, educational, and service-oriented events that encourage mutual understanding and celebrate the diversity of experiences within and beyond the Muslim community.
We welcome participation from all interested JHSOM students, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other identity.
