Dear APPHN member,
Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival or Lunar New Year, is a crucial traditional celebration in Chinese culture, marking the beginning of the lunar new year and lasting for 15 days. It involves family reunions, feasting, dragon and lion dances, red envelope exchanges for good luck, and the lighting of fireworks. The festival's date varies annually, typically falling between January 21 and February 20. Homes are cleaned and decorated, symbolizing the removal of bad luck and the welcoming of good fortune. Each year is associated with one of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals, and people engage in customs to usher in positivity and prosperity for the coming year. It's a time deeply rooted in cultural and family values, emphasizing joy, reflection, and well-wishing.
We are happy to announce the festival celebration in association with student assembly on Feb 9th at Feinstein hall ,7-9 pm. Please save the date and register for the event.
Thanking you
APPHN team.
