About Us

Beyond Health @ JHU is an undergraduate-led symposium exploring historical frameworks of health activism, advocacy, and community-based organizing in medicine and community wellbeing. We hope to develop a speaker series and an annual conference that brings together professors, Baltimore organizers and health experts, and keynote speakers to provide students, and the community, an opportunity to explore the social determinants of health in Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.
