About Us
The mission of Habitat’s youth programs is to capture the imagination, energy and hope of young people ages 5 to 25 in order to productively and responsibly involve them in the work of Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. At Johns Hopkins University, our organization works to involve the campus by taking weekly worktrips to build homes around Baltimore county with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake in addition to fundraising and advocacy events to raise awareness.
