About Us

A student faith group created with the intention of fostering Muslim students’ connection with one another and within the wider Caret, Hopkins, Baltimore and Maryland communities. The JHGMSA promotes interaction and communication among members of the Johns Hopkins community by organizing events and initiatives that increase understanding, education, and appreciation of Islam, and faith in general. We are dedicated to the messages of peace, tolerance, environmental stewardship, community service, health, and human rights. The JHGMSA is open to all.

We plan to offer a variety of programming, ranging from the weekly regulars such as Jummah and Halaqas to annual events such as the beginning of year Don’t Be Chai Social and Ramadan and Eid Gatherings We plan to organize events that reflect a collective desire of the Carey students and in coordination with chapters at other Hopkins Schools.
