About Us

The Ahlul-Bayt Student Association’s mission is to cater to the spiritual and educational needs of Shia Muslim students at Johns Hopkins, particularly those who have been marginalized in other spaces. Every aspect of ABSA at JHU will align with the teachings of the Qur’an and sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (s) and his Ahlul-Bayt (a). The organization aims to maintain an inclusive environment and to retain members in order to nurture a diverse generation of Shia Muslims who are cognizant and pragmatic members of society.
