About Us

The TI exists to strengthen the intellectual formation at universities, in the Catholic Church, and in the wider public square. At JHMI, the TI promotes discussion on the intersection between faith and science and debate on the most pressing bioethical questions of our time. The thought of philosopher Thomas Aquinas is our touchstone. The TI is an academic institute of the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. All JHU undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to become members of the TI! We welcome attendance from all interested JHU affiliates (students, postdocs, faculty, and staff) at our seminars and sponsored events.
