About Us

The Johns Hopkins Volunteers for Medical Engineering (JHU-VME) is a branch chapter of The IMAGE Center of Maryland, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities in the greater Baltimore community. Our mission centers around three pillars: developing innovative assistive devices, providing service to the local community, and fostering teamwork among our members. By designing, building, and testing engineering solutions, we aim to enhance the daily lives of those we serve, while offering students valuable hands-on experience and mentorship in the engineering design process.
