Subject: Student Involvement Fair, Spring 2023, RSO Sign-Up


Hello Organization Leaders!

We are excited to announce that the Spring 2023 Student Involvement Fair will on Friday, February 3, 2:00 - 5:00 pm, at the Ralph S. O'Connor Recreation Center! Registration for the Fair will take place from December 5 to January 31, to ensure all organizations have an opportunity for representation at the event. Be sure to complete registration for your organization here. 

Student organizations/ departments are allowed two (2) representatives to be present at their table throughout the Fair. You can use shifts to allow different officers to represent your organization throughout the Fair, but there should only ever be two (2) representatives at any given time. This email provides context and instructions as we have made a few changes based on University guidelines for large-scale in-person events. LEED hopes to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and offer a healthy in-person experience for all participants involved.
 

SETUP

This year's Student Involvement Fair will utilize the Virtual Fair platform in conjunction with the in-person event on Friday, February 3, 2:00 – 5:00pm. We are simply using the Virtual Fair feature to make it as easy as possible for students to create a plan and find organizations they are interested in joining before they attend the in-person Fair.

To ensure that attendees can access a complete list of Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) and departments in attendance at the Student Involvement Fair, we ask that all groups build a Virtual Fair booth. From your group Dashboard, go to More Tools > Virtual Fairs, then click on the Booth Settings button on the listing for “Student Involvement Fair, Spring 2023.” Check out this video to see how to build your booth. Groups who have participated in previous virtual fairs can duplicate past booth setups and make updates from there.

Individuals can view the virtual fair platform from January 16 – February 5. Please note, your organization is welcome to, but not required to host video conferencing or utilize the chat feature for this event. If you do not want to use these features, update your booth settings accordingly. As part of this process, students can also select the "I'm Interested" button on the organization's booth throughout the January 16 – February 5 time frame.

After the Fair, RSO leaders can view everyone who clicked the "I'm Interested" button for your group by going to your group's page > Members list > Contacts > then filtering by the Member Tag with "Student Involvement Fair, Spring 2023". You can then follow up with more information about joining the group and your upcoming planned meetings and events.
