Alpha Kappa Psi is the premier professional co-ed business fraternity in the world with over 250 chapters across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. The Rho Psi Chapter at JHU focuses its efforts on providing a true brotherhood experience for its members, as well as professional development opportunities for both brothers and the greater Hopkins community. Brothers of AKPsi are among the best and brightest at Hopkins, studying in all fields and coming from all different backgrounds. Brothers hold leadership positions in many organizations across campus. Notable AKPsi alumni include Sam Walton, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Mr. JC Penney and countless others. Our brothers have gone on to be successful in their own right. Some work at Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Facebook; others continue their education at Stanford Medical School, etc.

Alpha Phi is an international organization of women dedicated to fostering an environment of female leadership and support. We take to heart and follow our values of sisterhood, generosity, character and innovation, both in our organization and within the JHU community. We are devoted to our philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation, raising money and educating the general public about the severity of womenÔÇÖs cardiac health. We pride ourselves on having a community of women who are leaders inside and outside the classroom, who help to create a home away from home for the members of our organization.

Our organization offers many opportunities for women to take on leadership roles. The chapter is run by an executive board, comprised of all undergraduate women who are in charge of organizing and creating content for Alpha Phi. These board members are able to attend an annual leadership conference, where they can meet and learn from other Alpha Phi sisters across the world! Once a week, members can expect to attend a meeting for updates on the chapterÔÇÖs upcoming and current events. They will also hear from guest speakers who vary from present chapter members to highly esteemed alumnae to other groups on campus. These speakers educate members on issues such as women in the workforce, sexual assault awareness, mental health awareness, and personal anecdotes about their other campus involvements. This is more than an organization. It is a sisterhood which encourages support of one another through the good times and the bad, whether helping one another with academics or providing much needed support during a rough time.

The Alpha Phi Omega, Kappa Mu Chapter has been striving for excellent service since its 1998 rechartering at Johns Hopkins University. Kappa MuÔÇÖs impact in Baltimore is astounding; collectively, we perform over 5000 hours of community service per semester. Our service is spread out over various types of projects including helping out at soup kitchens, repairing homes, and teaching English to the Spanish-speaking community.



While service is an integral part of Alpha Phi Omega, we also encourage friendship among the chapter and leadership attained through internal and external activities. As such, in addition to performing community service, our Brothers attend many fellowship events and seek leadership both on campus and in the greater community.

Delta Phi seeks to establish and promote strong and successful chapters built upon our core principles of:

Brotherhood: Our goal for each chapter is to create an organization built upon a standard of excellence for brotherhood. We recognize the value of a diverse membership, the importance of mutual respect, and the virtue of life-long bonds of brotherhood. We are highly selective in accepting colonization requests. We believe very strongly in accepting only those men who seek to build lasting friendships based in principle, maintained with integrity, and celebrated over generations.

Literature: Since its founding over 180 years ago, members of Delta Phi have placed a strong emphasis on intellectual vigor and personal leadership. As a brotherhood we seek men of talent who will benefit from joining our organization. Our brotherhood is dedicated to encouraging and enabling the diverse talents of each member while undergraduates and throughout their lives and careers.

Morality: Character is fundamental in establishing and sustaining the bonds of brotherhood. As brothers, we share in each other's successes, and support each other in struggles. Character and morality are fundamental to leadership in our personal lives, in our brotherhood, and in our community. We strive to create chapters and members marked by their integrity, ability, and trustworthiness.

As a brotherhood our intent is to strengthen, support, and celebrate the members of Delta Phi. In keeping with 180 year tradition, our philosophy, and our no-hazing policy, we strive to maintain a positive environment for all our members. We do not support the intentional harm of any member, and strive to create an atmosphere that does not encourage or condone substance abuse of any kind.

For almost two centuries the members of Delta Phi included leaders of exceptional character and achievement. We consider it a privilege to share in our brotherhood, and are proud to be ÔÇÿSemper Ubique'.

The Mu Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc was found in 1976 on the campus of Johns Hopkins University. We are a collegiate chapter consisting of only undergraduate students bringing the mission of DST to the Hopkins campus and surrounding community.

Delta Xi Phi is a national sorority that has had a charter at Johns Hopkins since 2006. As an organization, we are dedicated to sisterhood, friendship, advancement of women through higher education, increasing multicultural awareness, and community service.

Johns Hopkins University is a campus filled with students and faculty with a great diversity of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Students maintain a sense of acceptance, but tend to form segregated friendships. The founders recognized a need for an opportunity for women to unite and celebrate their diversity. 

Therefore, on June 7, 2003, the Alpha Line "Bixia" was initiated. Vicki R. Nelson, Chinyere Ogbonna, and Monica E. Soderlund became the founders of the Lambda Associate Chapter of Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority, Incorporated at 10:10pm June 7, 2003.

Originally known as the Philomathean Society, Phi Mu Fraternity was founded by Mary DuPont Lines, Mary Myrick Daniels and Martha Hardaway Redding at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia on January 4, 1852. The founding was publicly announced March 4, 1852 and this day is now celebrated as Founder's Day. On August 1, 1904 the society received a charter from the state of Georgia and was established as Phi Mu Fraternity.

Known as a Fraternity, because the word sorority did not exist at the time of it's founding, Phi Mu is the second oldest sorority for college women in the world. Founded on lofty principles, Phi Mu maintains the objective of social, moral and mental improvement of its members. The solid foundation on which the Philomathean Society was established has allowed for the growth of Phi Mu Fraternity to a current membership of over 140,000 women nationwide.
