About Us
Lan Yun Blue Orchids is a performing arts group for students to come together to learn and practice traditional Chinese dance. Dancers of all levels of experience are welcome! One character for Lan (蘭) means orchid, while another Lan (藍) is the color blue. The character Yun (韻) means rhythm. Using the two meanings of Lan, we have our nickname, "Blue Orchids." Much like the orchid, a complex flower that is uniquely shaped, the Lan Yun Chinese Dance team seeks to promote the understanding of a rich and intricate culture through unique dance moves.
