The Johns Hopkins Disability Health Research Center (DHRC) is relaunching its bi-monthly virtual Open Meetings in January 2026. These one-hour sessions provide a space for students, staff, and faculty across Johns Hopkins to share disability-related research, build connections, and foster collaboration across the Hopkins community. Real-time captioning will be provided. Email disabilityhealth@jh.edu for access and accommodation requests. 

The DHRC is also seeking presenters—JHU students, staff, or faculty—interested in sharing their work related to disability and health. Johns Hopkins University learners have free, confidential, 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare. You have access to the following services:  

  • MedicalNow: On-demand support for common health issues, including cold, flu, and allergies. 
  • TalkNow: 24/7, on-demand emotional support to talk about anything, including anxiety, relationships, depression, and school-related stressors. 
  • Scheduled Medical: Choose the day, time, and medical provider that best works for you. 
  • Scheduled Counseling: Choose the day, time, and mental health provider that works best for you. (12 visits per year) 
  • Psychiatry: Appointments are available through referrals in Primary Care and Mental Health Services. 
  • Self-Care Content: Visit the Self-Care tab for 24/7 access to tools and resources, such as meditation and yoga sessions, helpful videos, and short articles from experts. 

MedicalNow and TalkNow services are like having urgent care from the comfort of your home (or phone) and without the co-pay. Scheduled visits can expand appointment options beyond typical office hours. Download the app and get started with this service today. Learners should use their @jh.edu email.
