Case provided by The Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University

They’ve had users from 96 countries who have interacted with the app over 172k times , signed a development agreement with Johns Hopkins Disability Health Research Center, and are in talks with significant national museums, airports, and universities as first corporate customers.

5. Curve Assure: https://www.curveassure.com. Reimagining spinal care by unlocking data-driven dynamic insights with our cutting-edge, non-invasive system
6. Aptabridge: https://aptabridge.com. Creating a next generation drug design platform to leverage DNA nanoparticles for immunotherapy. We develop highly stable, bi and multi specific molecules with the aim to treat multifaceted, complex diseases by engaging two disease targets with one molecule.
7. Novvacup: https://www.novvacup.com. Combines the reusability of menstrual cups with the convenience of disposable tampons so you can prioritize yourself and the planet.
8. JJIM: https://www.jjinnovativematerials.org. Pioneering the next generation of carbon negative & environmentally responsible construction materials, including hemp products
9. Hypermelt: https://hypermelt.com/dna/. An early cancer screening tool that uses microfluidic technology to detect extremely rare tumor-derived DNA from non-invasively collected samples, such as blood.
10. SweetBee Doula: https://www.sweetbeedoula.com. the premier doula agency of Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia.

Carey Campus Operations is excited to welcome students back for the Spring I term. Before returning we wanted to provide a few reminders:

J-Cards - All onsite students are required to obtain a Johns Hopkins identification card (J-Card) Mobile Credential. This is an identification card on your mobile phone that you will use to enter JHU buildings if you are taking classes onsite. All students are required to have their J-Card on them at all times and must present them to security in order to gain access to the building each time they enter. Failure to produce a valid card or misuse of the card is a violation of the Johns Hopkins University Student Conduct Code.

Smoking/Vaping- Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all JHU facilities. This includes balconies, elevators, garages, and restrooms. In addition to being against JHU policy and building rules, indoor smoking in commercial buildings is illegal in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. Students caught smoking/vaping risk being banned from facilities by property management. Please see below for details on designated smoking areas and regulations for each of our locations:

• Harbor East: There are dedicated smoking areas on the promenade close to the harbor outside of the building.
• Washington, DC: There is a dedicated area at the rear entrance on C Street outside the building. There is a sign indicating the designated smoking area.

Rideshares and Food Deliveries

Rideshares (Uber, Lyft,etc) should drop students off in front of or next to buildings.

Campus Operations is not able to accept food deliveries for students. If students order food they should be able to be available via phone/text if the driver is attempting to contact them. Students should also ensure that they are available to accept food when the driver arrives.
