Relentless Advancement

The Career & Life Design (C&LD) team welcomes our new and returning Carey students to this new academic year! For returning students, you knew us previously as the Career Development Office (CDO), but we went through a metamorphosis this summer!

We have many resources to support you, but here are a couple of highlights to start your year off effectively:

  • We created Career Resources On Demand, which is a mix of curated and created resources to help in your career & life design journey. Find it in Handshake and hosted in Canvas.
  • Review the Navigating Handshake video in Career Resources on Demand for step-by-step instructions and tips for maximizing your use Handshake in accessing internships, jobs, events, and resources.
  • Each Friday, check your email for our Hot Jobs email, highlighting Internship and Job opportunities.
  • SMILE is a JHU on-campus hiring platform where you can search and find part-time, paid on-campus internships & jobs.

TDAP Vaccine Clinic

The JHU Student Health and Wellness Center will be hosting a TDAP vaccine clinic on-site at the Carey Business School's Harbor East location. All incoming students are required to obtain the Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine for adults.

International students whose home countries do not offer the TDAP vaccine (i.e. China) will have the $100 health form completion fee waived for the TDAP vaccine ONLY. All other requirements on the health form can either be completed at a local clinic through health insurance or by the JHU Student Health and Wellness Center for a $100 administrative fee.
