The Digital Health Society (DHS) presents a conversation with Dr. Sarah Hemminger, social entrepreneur, scientist, and CEO, co-founder of Thread, to explore how grounding in community and relationships is a powerful foundation for improving social determinants of health. As technology and digital health tools become more embedded in all parts of life, health care and public health systems, it is crucial to ground ourselves in equitable, human-centered work that serves the real needs of people it is meant to serve. And Sarah’s work and commitments are an important reminder to this. Drawing from her extraordinary expertise and achievements in building a nationally recognized nonprofit in Baltimore, Sarah will reflect on leadership, social change, and the human connections that technology can support but never replace.
