Join us to celebrate Black History Month on February 28th to learn & talk about the legacies of incredible Black queer feminists of the last century! This exciting event is a collaboration with DSAGA, BSU, and Blue Jays & Poets. We’ll be having a presentation introduced by Dr. T Smith, specifically discussing how being queer Black women affects their ideologies, radical activism, and views of the world. Afterwards there will be an open workshop where we will present writing and poetry prompts for attendees as well as present a zine with all of the icons discussed in the presentation. Catered Caribbean food will be provided! We’ll see you at the Writing Center from 5-8pm on February 28th
Food Provided (Auntie's Caribbean Kitchen Food from Caternation with Curried Chickpeas, White Rice, Jerk Chicken, and Assorted Cakes (Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Pound Cake, and Coconut Rum Cake))
