The JHU Film and Media Studies program focuses on the production and study of film and media, designed to train the next generation of scholars, critics, filmmakers, writers and media moguls, to create the best informed future for film and media here and beyond. Our program offers a variety of classes, events, and career-oriented opportunities to ANYONE and EVERYONE who wants to study media.
The major in film and media studies is designed to enable students to understand the history of film and media, to think critically about it, and to gain hands-on experience in how they are made. In the process students also garner a strong background in the humanities and have ample opportunities to polish their skills in verbal, visual, and written expression.
