VOLUNTEER SHIFT Food Pantry (February 12th)

Join the Food Security Coalition for a volunteer shift. Volunteers will be packing food orders for food pantry shoppers. This includes light lifting. Please only sign up if you can attend the entire shift. Thank you for spending time with us and being part of our community!
About
The Food Security Coalition has partnered with the Bloomberg School of Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Medicine, and University Health and Well-being to prioritize immediately addressing food insecurity for all Hopkins affiliates as we work to open the permanent Hopkins Food Pantry at East Baltimore. Student volunteers from the Food Security Coalition operate a small pop-up pantry in East Baltimore with limited shopping hours open to all Hopkins affiliates.

Directions
Enter the Bloomberg School from Wolfe Street, turn right, and follow the hall until it dead ends. All JH affiliates will need a valid Hopkins ID to enter the building.
Shopping Logistics
Any JH staff, student, and faculty can access the pantry upon submission of a brief form upon arrival. Shopper anonymity is respected. Please be patient with our volunteers while they pack your order. Shoppers are encouraged to bring a reusable bag to carry their nonperishable food and household items, however limited plastic and paper bags will be available.
