About Us
The TI exists to strengthen the intellectual formation at universities, in the Catholic Church, and in the wider public square. At JHMI, the TI promotes discussion on the intersection between faith and science and debate on the most pressing bioethical questions of our time. The thought of philosopher Thomas Aquinas is our touchstone. The TI is an academic institute of the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. We welcome attendance from all interested JHU affiliates (students, postdocs, faculty, and staff) at our seminars and sponsored events. We are open to all eligible students without regard to sex, gender, marital status, pregnancy, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status or other legally protected characteristic.
All JHU undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to participate and become members of the TI at JHMI! We welcome all JHU affiliates (students, faculty, and staff) to attend TI seminars.
