Please join the Americas Focus Area for Americas Lunch Speaker Series #4, Argentina at a Crossroads: How Sustainable Is the Current Economic Model?, taking place on Wednesday, March 25, from 12:30–2:00 PM in Room 256 at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center.
We are honored to welcome Kezia McKeague, Managing Director of McLarty Associates’ Latin America practice, and Daniel Kerner, Managing Director of Eurasia Group’s Latin America practice, for this timely discussion.
With Argentina's short-term economic stabilization under President Milei's program, lower inflation and improved financial conditions are tempered by persistent concerns about the approach's long-term viability, financial fragility, and issues with institutional quality. Through our panelists’ extensive expertise in the nation, we seek to understand Argentina’s current economic and social juncture, President Milei’s vision, and examine the sustainability of the ongoing macroeconomic model in its implications for development.
