This interactive virtual workshop, led by Sammie Walker Herrera of Speak Y'all, empowers international students to build real, lasting professional relationships, without the awkwardness or pressure to "network perfectly." Through a supportive, step-by-step approach, you'll learn how to reach out with confidence, start meaningful conversations, and stay connected in a way that feels authentic to you.

Together, we'll explore strategies for using LinkedIn to tell your story, identify professionals you admire, and build a personalized networking list. You’ll get hands-on support to sharpen your profile, draft thoughtful messages, and practice a 60-second introduction you can use in coffee chats, career fairs, or interviews.

Whether you’re networking in a new country or speaking a second (or third!) language, this session will help you feel more grounded, prepared, and proud of the unique perspective you bring to the table.
