Hey Blue Jays!

We hope you all are having a great week so far.  Student Leadership and Involvement wants to thank you for attending the Spring 2021 Virtual Student Involvement Fair.  We had nearly 1,400 students attend and over 250 student organizations participate!  We really hope everyone was able to make meaningful connections over the weekend.

Now that the fair is over, you can see everyone who clicked the “I’m Interested” button for your group by going to your Members list, Contacts, then filtering by the Member Tag with "Student Involvement Fair Spring 2021" to follow up with more information about joining the group and your upcoming planned meetings and events.

The COVID Safety Monitor trainings are now live on myLearning. Below please click the banners to access the trainings.  Remember that students must complete both trainings in order to reserve space for the spring semester.

Transcendental Meditation (TM)

Transcendental Meditation (TM) is an evidence-based approach to improve well-being. TM is a simple, natural, effortless technique practiced 20 minutes twice each day while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. TM can reduce stress and anxiety, decrease the impacts of depression and trauma, improve sleep, and improve intelligence, creativity and your learning ability.

• Interested students must attend an info session on 2/22 at 7:30PM or 2/24 at 3PM (or connect with me in advance)
• After the information session, they'll fill out a very short application which is due 2/25 : https://bit.ly/3jfaY2U
• The program formally begins on 3/1 and goes until 4/21. 
• All sessions are via zoom except for a 3/1 session which will happen at the Fleet Street TM Center for a one on one meeting with the TM teacher observing all covid safety protocols. 
• This program is valued at $500/student and is available at no cost due to a generous donation from a JHU alum. 
• Space is limited so students should apply ASAP and definitely by 2/25. 
• All this information can also be found in Campus Groups. 
• At this time this program is for undergraduate students only, but if you have interested graduate students, please connect them with me directly so we can potentially backfill or create a new cohort model for graduate student.
