The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites you to our Identity Series & Cuisine Night on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 7:00 to 8:00pm on zoom, sponsored by Black Heritage Celebration. This month, Identity Series & Cuisine Night features: Cheryl Jenkins (OMA Budget Administrator), Ashraf Nawari (President of Sudanese Student Union), and Simi Aluko (Screenwriter of How Palm Wine Sours). Speakers will address their own identities, tell their story, and engage in conversations about intersectionality with the Hopkins student community, as well as show a cooking video lead by Simi Aluko showing how to cook a meal! Join us and learn how to cook! Ingredients and Zoom link to be provided when you RSVP.
Food Provided (We will be preparing Simi's Tomato Stew! To cook along with the presentation, you will need: Ingredients: Tomatoes [on the vine] (3 tomatoes) - blend and boil until it forms a thick paste Bell Peppers (2 red peppers) - blend and boil until forms a thick paste Vegetable oil or canola oil (1/2-1 cup) Scotch bonnet peppers (2-5) Red onions (2 onions, chopped) chicken/beef/fish (or none, depends on you) Knorr chicken cubes (4) Salt Thyme Curry)
