5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Come meet and have dinner with the patrol officers and Public Safety Staff members who work to keep you safe. Officers will be on hand to meet with students and share tips and information. With Give-a-ways and more. Student Affairs will pay for 30 students (15 for Hopkins Cafe and 15 for Nolan's) who are not on a meal plan to join in on the fun. Non-meal plan participants must register in advance.
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Guided walk to the Farmer's Market, highlighting safety/security hazards to increase situational awareness
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Tabling event regarding gender violence, personal safety, scams, student health such as bullying, public safety, housing, and parking.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Online webinar regarding online safety such as looking out for scams, catfishing, online dating safety, and personal safety on the internet.
12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Learn some basic self-defense techniques in our personal safety class. All students, staff, or faculty are welcome to sign-up to gain skills in awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance. This class will be facilitated by our Community Liaison, Jon Walter, who will share some information on awareness and defense techniques.
5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
