The RACE Matters Series will focus on four concepts: resistance, advocacy, community, and education. The series will engage the Hopkins community in dialogue as we reflect on racial injustice, police brutality, and social movements impacting marginalized communities of color. The conversation will challenge the Hopkins community as individuals and as a collective to be intentional advocates and fully embrace the importance of an anti-racism stance. The series will provide a unique experience that will focus on academic research, current events, educational tools, storytelling, personal assessment, and on-going dialogues in dismantling racism in its many forms and levels. Overall, the Hopkins community will be provided information that can transform theory into practice.
