Mission
We deal specifically with issues related to disabilities, including providing support and advocacy for all students who are affected by a disability. Our mission is to provide an approachable, cohesive, and inclusive group that supports students with disabilities by reducing stigma, providing education and awareness, and promoting a more positive image of disability at Johns Hopkins University. We also do outreach in the Baltimore community, bringing awareness and service to others dealing with disability.

Mission Statement: We are a coalition of engineers, scientists, policy makers, public health advocates, entrepreneurs, writers, and other young professionals who aim to develop technological frameworks by which to enable nutritious, sustainable, equitable and ethical food systems. Our diverse, interdisciplinary academic community strives to disrupt current food systems by advancing alternative protein technology through education, research, and entrepreneurship. Alternative proteins include meat, fish, dairy, and eggs made using plant-based, fermentation-derived, and/or lab-grown ingredients that obviate the need for traditional animal agriculture.

Despite medicine's impact in our lives and the world, there has been little attempt to help break the barriers between doctors and researchers and those who are affected by medicine on a daily basis. The Hippocrates Med Review is a medical journal that aims to humanize medicine to make it accessible to those who need the information the most: the patient.

Additionally, in recent years, the term "medicine" has been broadened to encompass more than just physical health; mental and economic health, through the lens of medicine, are increasingly important to a patient's quality of life. By placing an emphasis on domestic health, global health, biotechnology, medical humanities, and clinical medicine, we hope to spread the idea of new medicine, which looks at medicine further than what happens in a physician's room.

The Hippocrates Med Review aims to improve population health by tackling the information gap between patient and providers, train the next generation of caregivers to challenge their approach on the patient-provider relationship to make it more patient-centered, and empower the public to fight for their healthcare rights with increased health literacy.

We, the board of Hopkins Asian Medicine (HAM) Student Club, envision an integrative medicinal future that incorporates elements from both conventional and traditional Asian medical knowledge.

The HAMSC community can learn the development and practices of traditional Asian medicine, and talk with experts through our Guest Speaker events. We initiate and support several projects to explore various aspects of Traditional Asian Medicine. Members can freely propose and implement ideas, acquire more experience in leading/executing projects, and in best case scenarios, generate noteworthy output as a presentation or even a paper. Members can directly meet and communicate and with experts of fields of Asian medicine through local experts in the field. We facilitate and nurture interest in various topics of Asian medicine across the humanities, STEM, and public health. The Johns Hopkins Undergraduate Law Review was founded in December 2017 by then Johns Hopkins sophomore Kiana Boroumand. Comprised of undergraduate students in all disciplines, our staff is dedicated to engaging young voices and providing accessible, informed, and thought-provoking legal analysis.
As members of the greater undergraduate community, we strive to reflect the diverse interests and viewpoints of individuals within the Hopkins community and beyond. We are committed to building dialogue, not only about the pressing and oft-covered issues of our time, but also the worthwhile topics that have escaped public scrutiny.
The Law Review has two main components: the online platform, on which we regularly publish articles, and the print journal, which comes out annually each spring. Our goal is to provide readers with a platform to discuss and debate a wide variety of matters concerning the law. In addition to our staff writers, we encourage all those who are interested to submit pieces to JHULR Online.

Poetry As Medicine (PAM) aims to explore the art of poetry through the lens of healing. We will read and discuss poems from various time periods with a focus on topics of healing—be it psychological, emotional, environmental, sociological, cultural, or else. Moreover, we will hold forums for members to explore poems and other relevant literature to explore how these narratives reflect perspectives on health and provided care. Although this organization is centered around poetry, we will also explore the benefits of empowering patients’ narrative expression through many creative mediums, such as art and storytelling. Last, members can sign up to volunteer at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute to help hold our elective creative expression workshops for patients, as well as generally aid in a variety of rehabilitative services. The club is intended to be open and accessible to all students interested in poetry, narrative storytelling, and/or medicine regardless of major, academic interests, or previous creative expression experience.

The purpose of the journal is to promote philosophic discourse of the highest standard by offering students an opportunity to engage in open discussion, participate in the production and publication of an academic journal, and establish a community of aspiring philosophers.

Prometheus holds various undergraduate events, including a discussion forum that meets every other Tuesday in the fall to discuss philosophical issues that are not addressed in the classroom. In the spring, we host a seminar series in which we invite graduate students to deliver talks and lead discussion. Every April Prometheus hosts the Mid-Atlantic Undergraduate Philosophy Conference, where undergraduates present on their own work.

Prometheus also publishes an online undergraduate philosophy journal every year. Each issue contains a selection of essays on various philosophic topics submitted by undergraduates from around the world. We accept submissions every winter and publish the journal in the summer.

Smart Woman Securities is an organization whose mission is to educate undergraduate women on finance and investing, and our chapter is Hopkins' only all-womens' investment team. We are dedicated to building community, equipping our members with the core financial skills, and providing interactive experiences that allow our members to engage with successful professionals in the industry. We believe that SWS can help to empower a new generation of women with greater investment knowledge and financial influence. Through a 10-week seminar series in the fall, new members (Associates) learn the fundamentals of investing. Associates have the opportunity to present a stock pitch at the end of the semester and graduate to the Investment Team as Research Analysts. We also host a variety of events throughout the semester open to the entire JHU community, including our Spring Investors Symposium, bringing in prominent females in Finance to speak about their experience in the field.

The Economics Club is designed to connect current economics undergraduate students with each other, Economics graduate students, and Johns Hopkins alumni and other professionals working in relevant fields. The Economics Club also promotes professional development through events, networking, etc. and creates a community of economics undergraduates at Johns Hopkins. Additionally, the club seeks to connect students to internship and job opportunities in the field of Economics and related disciplines. The six committees include: the financial committee, the alumni relations committee, the Hopkins collaboration committee, the jobs and internships committee, the event administration committee, and the social media committee. The club has an executive board, which consists of committee chairs and the assistant leaders for each committee. Additionally, general body members serve to take advantage of the different events and resources set up by the executive board, and may apply for executive leadership positions.
