This kickoff event of the Spring 2026 Americas Lunch Speaker Series, in collaboration with the Mexico Club, will explore Mexico’s economic trajectory as the nation enters a new year of opportunities and challenges. With the USMCA’s joint review, a changing hemispheric order, the persistence of internal security issues, and the hosting of the World Cup looming ahead, this session examines Mexico’s global standing through shifting trade partnerships, investment trends, and the economic outlook surrounding the upcoming games.

We are honored to have Francisco “Paco” Castro y Ortiz from the IDB come speak on this matter in a discussion moderated by Professor Francisco González.
