About Us
1. The purpose of Japan Club shall be to help SAIS students and the community of Japanese language and culture and foster community among those with common interest in Japan through language exchanges, speaker sessions, cultural events, and happy hours. 2. The goals of this organization are to inform the SAIS student body on Japanese culture, language, and diplomacy and inform students of Japan related opportunities and assist their pursuit thereof. We also aim to foster community among students, faculty, and experts with common interest in Japan, and connect students with the larger D.C. and global Japan community (i.e. Other IR schools, policy networks). 3. This organization is associated with the following local, state, national, or international organizations: SAIS Reischauer Center for East Asia Studies, occasionally assisting with event promotion.
