Please join the Americas Focus Area at Johns Hopkins SAIS for our upcoming Americas Lunch Series event, COP 30 and Latin America’s Environmental Agenda, on Wednesday, November 5, from 12:30–2:00 p.m.

The discussion will preview the 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 30) taking place in Belém, Brazil, highlighting the key expectations, goals, and challenges ahead. It will examine the Amazon Basin’s global importance, the role of a regional bioeconomy in advancing sustainability, and the political context of President Lula’s environmental agenda as Latin American countries navigate the balance between growth and conservation.

Lunch will be provided.
