SAIS SGA Scavenger Hunt & Picnic

Celebrate SAIS's DC location by racing (or strolling) to find notable landmarks across Washington D.C.! Work together to solve clues and snap pictures. Whether you want to win or enjoy the ride, it's a great way to make friends within the SAIS community and take advantage of that glorious U-Pass we have.

You can request a teammate in advance (or register solo). Either way, we will make sure everyone has a full team and is able to participate!

Our goal with this event is to have fun AND to connect SAISers to each other across programs. Therefore, you may be paired with strangers (or future pals!). If you indicate a specific person you want to be paired with (make sure they write your name on their registration too!), then we will do our best to make sure both of you are included in the same group.

Here's a timeline of what to expect:
-Registration closes at 5pm on Thursday, August 27th. Afterwards, all participants will receive an email containing their group number, group members, their emails, and their SGA point of contact (POC).
-Each SGA POC will then create a group chat for each group on Signal or WhatsApp and send the link to their groups via email before noon on Friday, August 28th. Each group then decides where they will meet.
-Each group meets at their chosen location prior to 1pm. At 1pm, everyone will receive an email containing the list of clues.
-1pm - 4pm: Students go around DC to find the locations and will send group selfies in front of the landmark to their SGA POC to confirm their clue is correct. You are welcome to go for as many clues as your group wants, but 10 will serve as the "finish line" for everyone. ***Small prizes for teams with the most creative picture or the first to 10 locations***
