Join Us for the Annual JHU Black Heritage Celebration!
The Black Heritage Committee warmly invites JHU faculty, staff, and students to an unforgettable evening of culture, community, and creativity at this year’s Black Heritage Celebration.
This year’s theme, “Threads of Identity: The Legacy of Black Art & Culture,” highlights the powerful connections between heritage, storytelling, and expression as they shape Black identity and legacy.
🎭 Experience:
- A captivating performance art demonstration by Christopher “Kolpeace” Johnson
- Live performances from student groups, Dunbar Baldwin Hughes Theater Company and Bluejays and Poets, celebrating the rich diversity of Black culture
- A curated exhibit featuring works by local Black artists
- A culinary journey through flavors of the diaspora with catered dishes
📢 All donations from the event will support the Black Heritage Committee Student Scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be honored during the program.
