About Us
The Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) is an academic and professional affinity organization at Carey Business School.
The mission of the BGSA is to foster an inclusive community of graduate students of the African diaspora and their allies that supports professional development, celebrates culture and excellence, and advocates for equity and belonging at Carey Business School and beyond.
We accomplish this in many ways, including:
- Celebrating and support the experiences of Black graduate students at Carey.
- Providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities for academic, professional, and personal growth.
- Creating safe and supportive spaces where all students feel valued, respected, and included.
- Building connections among Black Carey students, alumni, and allies across Johns Hopkins and beyond.
- Partnering with employers, organizations, and community leaders who share our commitment to equity and inclusion.
