Travel Grant Funding Opportunity
The Johns Hopkins Global Surgery Initiative is pleased to announce a travel grant opportunity to support research projects that aim to improve health equity by increasing access to safe, timely, and affordable surgical, obstetric, and anesthesia care worldwide. Additional information is included below.
Who can apply: Residents (surgical, EM, OB/Gyn, anesthesia) and professional students (MD, PhD, DrPH, full- or part-time MPH, Master's, Nursing) who are currently enrolled at or affiliated with Johns Hopkins
Award amount: Up to $4000
Submission deadline: Monday, January 15, 2024

Application requirements:
- Cover Letter (max 1 page)
- Project Proposal (max 3 pages, excluding references)
- CV
- One Letter of Recommendation from faculty mentor/advisor
- One Letter of Support or Project Endorsement from your project site
- Plan for obtaining IRB approval, if required for your project
You are required to have a John Hopkins School of Medicine surgical, obstetric, gynecologic, or anesthesia faculty member as an affiliate on your project.
